Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hi, I know I only did a journal yesterday, and people who do them too often annoy me (XD) but I had a thought~~

I've recently been asked to participate in this [link]. Basically, the whole thing starts with a book, and the first person adds a piece of their art, then posts it onto the next person who adds some of their work, and so on until it gets back to the original sender. I wondered if we Hiddleston artists could do one, each including a piece of our own Loki/Hiddleston art? It could go round the different people, building up fan art and then return to me so I can send it off to Tom's fanmail address? As you may remember I have already sent a letter and some art of my own and received a reply, so this could work out really well!
I thought also on each page, with our art, we could each include a little message to him (not too long of course, we don't want him to get tired of reading OMG TOM I LOVE YOU LOVE YOU LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU! XD).

Do tell me what you think of this idea, and if you will like to participate!
